Bowles Mattress Announces Senior Leadership Transition and Expansion

NEWS RELEASE

JEFFERSONVILLE, IN — April 29, 2026 — Bowles Mattress has announced a planned leadership transition and a new addition to its executive team. John Ramburger has joined the company as President of Integrated Operations, effective immediately.

In a strategic shift to support the company’s long-term growth, Scott Armstrong, former President, remains with the company and has assumed the position of Co-CEO alongside Billy Bowles.

“John brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Bowles Mattress,” said Scott Armstrong, Co-CEO. “He comes to our company at a pivotal time as we integrate our Bowles Retail stores in Louisville, Jeffersonville, and Evansville under one umbrella.”

A Kentucky native with deep roots in the Ohio Valley, Mr. Ramburger brings decades of manufacturing and luxury retail expertise to the 51-year-old family company. In this newly created role, he will handle the day-to-day alignment of factory production and retail execution. He will have direct responsibility for operational standardization, integrated P&L management, and supply chain yields.

A primary objective of this role is to drive sustainable sales growth by leveraging manufacturing flexibility to capitalize on expanding contract sales opportunities—including hospitality, trucking, and dormitory accounts—to support the company’s continued market expansion.

“I would like to thank the Bowles family for this opportunity to be named the President of Integrated Operations,” said John Ramburger. “It is my honor to work with the dedicated Bowles team members and our valued retailers to continue the great tradition of this wonderful company. There is a vast array of avenues to explore for our growth, and I am blessed to work with such a talented group of people in my home region.”

Throughout his career, which includes senior leadership roles at Kimball, Halcon, and most recently as COO of Gabriella White, Mr. Ramburger has been a champion for Continuous Improvement and “Process Articulation” as the foundation for operational excellence.
