We’re back from Summer Las Vegas Market with plenty to sort through. And a few things we’re still talking about.

The heat was no joke
Las Vegas in July lived up to its reputation. Even the short walk between buildings was a commitment, and the misting fans in the courtyard barely made a dent. Fortunately, the showrooms were cool and offered plenty to talk about.
The people made the difference
The best showroom conversations weren’t always the longest. A knowledgeable representative could quickly explain what was new, what made it different, and why it mattered. Those conversations often revealed the real story behind the product; something a spec sheet rarely can achieve on its own.
Some products had to be seen in action

A product description can tell you that an adjustable base rocks, a sleep system moves air, or a pressure-responsive support system shifts beneath the sleeper. Watching it—and feeling it happen—is different. Several of the most interesting products became much easier to understand once someone turned them on, moved them, or invited us to try them. Those moments often made the real product story clear.

The showroom was part of the story
Companies not only presented mattresses, bases, pillows, and accessories. They were thinking about how retailers would display them, demonstrate them, and explain them to shoppers. Photography, video, component samples, branded displays, and other creative touches often helped a product stand apart before anyone said a word.
More to come
Traffic felt lighter in some areas than at Winter Market, but the conversations were focused, and there was no shortage of product introductions, collection updates, and ideas to explore. This is just an early look at what caught our attention. More from Summer Market is still to come!
