Earnhardt Manufacturing LLC, a supplier of knitted FR barrier fabrics and zippered mattress covers based in Roebuck, South Carolina, has named Frank Earnhardt chief executive officer and Jesse Beasley president.
The company also has hired Michael Diemer for a newly created position of manufacturing general manager.
Earnhardt, previously president, started Earnhardt in 2006. Beasley, who has been with the company since 2009, was promoted from vice president. In addition to his responsibilities as president, Beasley also is overseeing Earnhardt’s expansion into an additional 30,000-square-foot facility. The company now has a total of 172,500 square feet of manufacturing space.
“Jesse’s experience in the bedding industry with Earnhardt will prove invaluable in his new position as president,” Frank Earnhardt said. “During this exciting time of growth and expansion, I feel confident in his ability to steer the company toward greater success while maintaining the integrity and quality of product that we are known for.”
Commenting on his new responsibilities at the company, Beasley said: “Over the past eight years, I have been intimately involved in the growth of this company. I look forward to leading Earnhardt as we prepare ourselves to capitalize on the continued innovation opportunities in this market segment.”
In his new position, Diemer is responsible for Earnhardt’s distribution center and three manufacturing plants. He also oversees systemwide manufacturing performance improvements as well as manufacturing flow design, as the company modernizes both its FR sock and zippered cover operations.
Diemer, who reports to Beasley, has a 30-year background in various manufacturing leadership positions in the textile industry and, most recently, was with Milliken’s Performance Solutions manufacturing-consulting business.
“Mike’s experience in several of Milliken’s manufacturing operations and most recently as one of their manufacturing-efficiency consultants will bring a level of expertise to our operations needed to advance our safety, delivery, quality and overall competitiveness,” Beasley said. “His timely arrival will be crucial in the planning, design and execution of our expansion and modernization plans. In the first month since his arrival, we have seen great progress and promise for the future of our company.”
Diemer added: “I am excited to join Earnhardt, which, despite its incredible growth curve, has maintained good manufacturing performance and a keen innovative bias. Their modernization plans will propel Earnhardt into a world-class (manufacturer), and I look forward to being the architect of that transformation.”
