Vince Scattolino, vice president of product development and innovation for Houston-based Sinomax USA, has been elected to the board of directors of the Alliance for Flexible Polyurethane Foam, the Rochester Hills, Michigan-based not-for-profit organization that administers the CertiPUR-US foam certification program.

Scattolino has been involved with the polyurethane and bedding industries for nearly 25 years. After first working in product development for the Scott Paper Co., he moved to ARCO Chemical and then FXI, where he was director of national accounts, including Sealy and other major bedding brands. He also served as senior vice president of product development, commercialization and innovation for Sleep Innovations. In returning to FXI for a second time, Scattolino was responsible for building the company’s consumer products business.
Sinomax USA produces CertiPUR-US certified flexible foams, as well as soft goods and finished products. It is part of Hong Kong-based Sinomax Group Ltd.
“Vince is a wonderful addition to the board because he has a combination of consumer product, bedding and polyurethane expertise,” said Mike Crowell, executive director of the CertiPUR-US program.
