ALL TOGETHER Mebane, North Carolina-based Kingsdown has teamed up with Hooker Furniture in Martinsville, Virginia, for an exclusive bedding collection that ships with Hooker’s bedroom furniture.

Called Hooker Furniture by Kingsdown, the exclusive mattress collection is shipped directly from Hooker Furniture in Martinsville. It features models in 11-, 13- and 15-inch profiles with firm and plush options available on the 15-inch model. The premium mattresses include layers of cotton and wool fiber designed to wick away moisture and regulate body temperature, while latex and an individually wrapped coil core provide pressure relief and body-contouring support. Smooth damask panel fabrics use silk yarns and the mattress quilt is hand-tufted. Retail prices range from $1,438 to $2,298 in queen size.

“We are thrilled about our partnership,” said Frank Hood, president and chief executive officer of Kingsdown. “We know a good night’s sleep is important, and this partnership with Hooker Furniture takes it one step further when it comes to helping our customers create a relaxing, comfortable bedroom.

“Our retailers will benefit from this simple add-on sale by using the product placement on Hooker bedrooms already on retail floors, leading to increased profits. And, because it is a simple program featuring step-up good, better and best models, it’s easy for our customers to make their purchase decisions.”

Steve Lush, president of Hooker case goods, said: “With our shared commitment to luxury, craftsmanship and quality, joining forces with Kingsdown was a natural fit. Both of our companies share a long history of quality and longevity, two adjectives that not only describe our companies, but also the products that we offer.”

Jeremy Hoff, president of Hooker upholstery, said the Kingsdown mattresses enjoyed a successful soft launch at the Fall 2017 High Point Market, where they were paired with Hooker’s Nest Theory upholstered headboard and base collection.

“We’ve received great feedback from our interior design sales channel, as well as our smaller, independent retail partners,” he said. “Because the mattresses ship directly from us, complete with other furniture items in their orders, the program provides both shipping and merchandising conveniences.”
