Tempur Sealy Aids Carolinas

Tempur Sealy International Inc. donated $1 million in mattresses to residents of the Carolinas affected in September by Hurricane Florence.

The Lexington, Kentucky-based company teamed up with its longtime partner Good360, which managed the logistics of the donations.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone whose lives have been impacted by this disaster,” said Scott Thompson, Tempur Sealy chair and chief executive officer. “It’s been hard to watch the devastation in the Carolinas, particularly given that our company has a significant presence in Trinity, North Carolina. With so many of our employees living and working in areas impacted by Hurricane Florence, we wanted to quickly make a commitment of support to assist when the rebuilding begins.”

The manufacturer has given $4 million in bedding donations since 2017 to assist victims of hurricanes and wildfires.
