Soft-Tex International has added industry veteran Chris Marsh as chief marketing officer, a new position for the company. The Waterford, New York-based sleep products maker has reorganized its marketing department under him.
Most recently, Marsh was co-founder and chief executive officer of online brand Yogabed. His background in mattress retailing and manufacturing includes executive management roles with Macy’s, Mattress Firm and the former Simmons Bedding Co.
Marsh is tasked with helping Soft-Tex capitalize on the rapidly evolving bedding retail landscape and more closely aligning the business with key growth initiatives on a global scale, according to a news release.
“With today’s demands of omnichannel retail, we’re excited to have a proven industry leader in Chris Marsh joining us to lead the team,” said Soft-Tex CEO Jeff Chilton. “(It furthers) our value proposition as a best-in-class supplier of not only quality product but also fresh, compelling and cohesive marketing stories that provide significant value and drive today’s bedding customer to purchase.”
Marsh manages three direct reports and their teams. They include Eric Hasper, lead design and showroom manager; Taylor Jones, director of digital marketing and e-commerce; and Kayla McNeil, newly promoted to director of marketing and commercialization.
