Mattress maker and licensing group King Koil, with U.S. headquarters in Willowbrook, Illinois, has inked a deal that reintroduces the brand to Thailand. A newly formed entity, King Koil Thailand, which is part of Bangkok-based Sleepwell Industries Co. Ltd., now has the right to produce and sell the brand throughout Thailand.
“King Koil is a brand with a long heritage and will be a natural fit for our group’s businesses,” said Roger Chokwonganun, director of King Koil Thailand. “We have ambitious plans to grow the brand rapidly over the next years.”
According to David Binke, King Koil chief executive officer, the company’s newest licensee, which is both a wholesaler and retailer, stood out from other candidates in the region due to its “significant expertise in manufacturing, distributing and selling mattresses and … passion for the King Koil brand.”
