Bedgear Expands Sales Force

Mattress and sleep accessories supplier Bedgear, with headquarters in Farmingdale, New York, recently announced a number promotions and new hires. The personnel news included the promotion of Tom Sakry from sales operations manager to senior account manager, and the hiring of Daniel Reppe, Andrew Burt and Erin Cohen.

Sakry, who joined the company in 2017, previously supported international business, but in his new post now works with all Bedgear accounts. He reports to Lori Ellis, director of sales operations.

Reppe was named director of marketing and sales and is responsible for overseeing the Bedgear sales team and a territory spanning from Pennsylvania to Florida. He reports to Leslie Clay, vice president of marketing and sales. Previously, Reppe worked for nearly 12 years in the furniture industry in various roles from sales management to territory management. His most recent position was senior territory manager at Serta Simmons Bedding LLC.

As regional marketing and sales manager, Burt is responsible for building stakeholder relationships and conducting seminars for retail partners. Most recently, he was director of sales with Ashley Furniture Industries. He reports to Reppe.

Cohen is sales account manager and analyzes sales forecasts and reports to identify sales opportunities, as well as serving as a liaison between accounts, sales management and sales support teams. Prior to joining Bedgear, Cohen was director of international sales at Club Monaco, where she oversaw licensee business in Asia. She reports to Sakry.
