NCFI (formerly NCFI Polyurethanes), headquartered in Mount Airy, North Carolina, has hired Dan Manning as North American bedding sales manager, a new position for the company.

Manning is responsible for growing the foamer’s burgeoning wholesale boxed-bed business.

In addition to being a foam component supplier, NCFI is a private-label and contract manufacturer of finished boxed bedding. In September 2018, it acquired BedInABox LLC, based in Johnson City, Tennessee. And at the Summer Las Vegas Market, it opened a showroom to showcase all of its boxed-bed offerings and capabilities.

Manning brings 10 years of sales experience with foam and latex suppliers to his new job. Most recently, he was vice president of sales for Artilat. Prior to that, he held key sales posts with Talalay Global and FXI.

“Dan is well-respected throughout the bedding industry and his knowledge, specific to the specialty sleep category, is unmatched,” said Chris Bradley, executive vice president of NCFI’s consumer products division. “His depth of industry knowledge, competitiveness and energy make him the perfect fit to help us grow our consumer products division, as well as work on expanding our private-label manufacturing.”

Manning added, “This is an exciting opportunity to be on the ground floor of building a new division at NCFI for boxed beds.”

NCFI is part of Barnhardt Manufacturing Co. Inc. and operates plants in Dalton, Georgia, and Salt Lake City.
