Atlanta-based mattress major Serta Simmons Bedding LLC has named Barry Canipe chief financial officer, following an extensive search. He replaces Paul Dascoli, who retired in April.
Canipe most recently was chief administrative officer and CFO of Carestream Health, an international medical imaging systems company. He has 30 years of finance experience, including a strong track record of value creation and driving large-scale transformation, the company said in a news release.
Canipe reports to Dave Swift, chair and chief executive officer, who said: “Barry is a great fit for SSB, and I look forward to working with him as a strategic partner as we transform to become a truly consumer-centric company. I look forward to his contributions in retaining and growing SSB’s market-leading position.”
