Blue Bell Mattress Co. Inc., headquartered in East Windsor, Connecticut, has named Jill Kotowitz to the new position director of product development.
She has responsibility for the design and development of Blue Bell products, including its licensed Natura World line. She also works closely with retail partners in creating products and reports to Rebecca Gray, Blue Bell chief sales officer.
Kotowitz has an apparel industry background and joins Blue Bell after 14 years with Jade Marketing Group LLC, where she helped develop denim apparel lines for a number of retailers.
“For this new position, we thought it was important to get a fresh eye for design,” said Derek Ritzel, Blue Bell president and chief executive officer. “Jill has a skill in design and interpreting it for this space. Her extensive experience with both consumer and private-label brands made her the ideal candidate.”
