Industry supplier Latexco U.S. LLC, with headquarters in Lavonia, Georgia, has named bedding industry veteran Todd Councilman chief operating officer. He replaces Bob Carstens, who left the company in January and joined Solstice Sleep Products.
Councilman, who also was named to the Latexco U.S. Executive Committee, reports to Ben Ducatteeuw, chief executive officer.
He has responsibility for pursuing “operational excellence as (Latexco U.S.) continues to execute bicoastal expansion plans and manages growth at its headquarters and at its facility in Phoenix,” a news release said.
Councilman brings more than three decades of polyurethane foam and bedding industry experience to his new post. Most recently, he was senior business development manager of Olympic Products LLC. Prior to that, he was with Park Place Corp. Previously, he spent more than 10 years with HSM, where he attained the title commercial director. He held the same role at Vita Foam and was vice president of sales for Elite Comfort Solutions. He also has served on the International Sleep Products Association Board of Trustees.
“Todd’s diverse skill set and market experience will further strengthen the Latexco team and, ultimately, have a positive impact on our valued customers,” Ducatteeuw said.
