Mlily USA, a mattress and pillow brand owned by Healthcare Co. Ltd. based in Rugao, China, will open a second U.S. facility in December. The vertically integrated plant in Goodyear, Arizona, will be 644,000 square feet and will house foam-pouring, mattress-manufacturing and spring-production lines. When at full capacity, it is expected to employ 300 people.
“We are seeing significant growth both in our branded products and in our private label contract business,” said Stephen Chen, Mlily USA president. “The additional capacity will allow us to maintain our growth trajectory, and continue to fulfill the growing demand for domestic-made mattresses, crafted by American workers. When this factory opens, we’ll have a first-class facility in the West to match our flagship factory in South Carolina so that we can seamlessly service our North American partners.”
The new plant is under construction. When complete, Mlily said it expects to commence production of 1,500 pieces (mattresses and toppers) per day, with the capacity to produce 6,000 per day.
Mlily USA is based in Knoxville, Tennessee. Its first U.S. plant opened in Winnsboro, South Carolina, in mid-2019. The company also launched a new website, MlilyUSA.com, that has an improved store locator, a sleep tip section and a customer review area.
