NEWS RELEASE

ST. PETERS, Mo. (August 24, 2026) — Symphony Sleep® has entered a strategic collaboration with longtime furniture retail executive Andrew Covington, bringing the experience and perspective of one of the industry’s accomplished retail operators directly to the adjustable base company and its retail partners.
Former president of Dufresne Spencer Group (DSG), Covington brings deep knowledge of furniture retail developed through the operation of more than 130 Ashley HomeStores and $1.3 billion in sales. His merchandising expertise and understanding of store-level execution were instrumental in doubling the bedding sales of DSG’s Ashley business during his tenure. Covington is an expert in sleep science and has educated sales professionals across the U.S.
Through the collaboration, Covington will work with Symphony Sleep to help retailers maximize the opportunities within the adjustable base category, applying his experience in merchandising, product presentation, sales strategy and retail operations. Symphony Sleep retail partners and prospective accounts will have access to his perspective as they evaluate how to merchandise the category, build stronger programs and drive greater sales and profitability.
“Andrew understands retail from the retailer’s side of the table, and that perspective is incredibly valuable to us and to our partners,” said John Schulte, president of Symphony Sleep. “He knows what it takes to successfully merchandise products across a large retail organization, engage sales teams and turn a product program into a meaningful revenue opportunity. Bringing that expertise into Symphony Sleep adds another dimension to the support we can provide retailers.”
The collaboration builds on Symphony Sleep’s strategy of positioning itself as a complete partner to retailers rather than solely a product supplier. In addition to its adjustable bases and compatible accessories, the company has invested heavily in sales training, point-of-purchase materials, product demonstration videos and other tools designed to help retail sales associates communicate product benefits and increase attachment opportunities.
“I’ve spent my career looking at products and programs through the lens of the retailer: How does it merchandise? How does the sales associate understand it? How does it create value for the customer, and ultimately, how does it perform for the business?” Covington said. “Symphony Sleep is committed to answering those questions and giving retailers more than a product to put on the floor. I see a tremendous opportunity to apply what I’ve learned in retail to help Symphony Sleep and its partners build stronger, more productive programs.”
Symphony Sleep offers a multi-tiered collection of adjustable bases complemented by accessories designed to create additional merchandising and attachment opportunities. Its retail support program includes training resources, product education, point-of-sale materials and a growing library of videos designed to help RSAs sell with greater knowledge and confidence.
