Mattress major Tempur Sealy International Inc. gave many attendees at the Las Vegas Market in April their first view of the redesigned Sealy collections, which launched in February. These included Sealy Essentials, Posturepedic and Posturepedic Plus product lines, in a range of innerspring, all-foam and hybrid options. They range in price from $199 to $1,999 for a queen size.
At the Stearns & Foster showroom, the brand celebrated its 175 years and announced some unique concept beds inspired by interior design experts. Four designers, Joy Cho, Corey Damen Jenkins, Sarah Sherman Samuel and Sharrah Stevens, were named to the Stearns & Foster Design Council in 2020. Each worked with S&F management to develop a new bed design honoring the brand’s anniversary.
Unusually colorful fabric panels adorn some on the 175th anniversary mattresses due to the pioneering use of 3D digital printing on knits. The process can yield a highly colorful knit panel with excellent resolution and accuracy, the Lexington, Kentucky-based company said.
The Stearns & Foster Reserve collection, in a pillow-top profile, was used for the designer bed concepts. At the top of the S&F line, Reserve uses HD Memory Foam, the IntelliCoil Micro HD microcoils and high-end velvet upholstery borders.
The vibrant bed designed by Cho was on display in Las Vegas and all of the anniversary mattress designs are available through the summer, as a limited edition. They are being promoted by S&F Design Council members in their social media accounts.
