Textile Maker Marsala Home Launches in Turkey

Mustafa Yildirim co-founded Marsala Home.

Marsala Home, a new ticking supplier, recently commenced production at a plant in Bursa, Turkey. The fully integrated factory has knitting, weaving, fabric finishing and dyeing capabilities. In addition to decorative panel fabrics, it makes upholstery fabrics for bed bases and borders, as well as a collection of 3D spacer fabrics. The plant in Bursa is less than an hour by car from one of İstanbul’s three major airports, Sabiha Gökçen International.

Company co-founder Mustafa Yildirim has more than two decades of experience in mattress fabrics and previously was general manager of a major international ticking supplier.

Yildirim said the new company has gathered an experienced team of industry veterans focused on making Marsala a global ticking supplier. It will be known for customer satisfaction, innovative design and advanced technology, the company said. It also has implemented and fully integrated a health, safety and environment management system.

With a goal of exporting up to 80% of production to key targets — Europe, North Africa, South America, the United Kingdom, and the United States — Marsala is in the process of lining up agents and distributors around the world and has hired a sales team that travels extensively, according to the company.
