The parent company of Eclipse International and Eastman House is now going to market as Bedding Industries of America, a move designed to reflect the growth of its six brands.
The company’s brands will continue to be supported with their own marketing programs and materials, but everything now comes under the umbrella of BIA.
“Because of the support we have received from our retailers and licensees, we have grown so much since we acquired Eclipse and Eastman House,” said Stuart Carlitz, BIA president and chief executive officer. “We have added so many brands to our portfolio so we can satisfy the needs of consumers, from the value-conscientious to the ultra-luxury segment. We felt that Bedding Industries of America better represented that we are a full portfolio of brands.”
Brands that fall under the BIA name include Eastman House, Eclipse, Fieldcrest, Millbrook Beds, Natural Dreams Pure Talalay and Velika.
The Eclipse line of mattresses, manufactured in the United States since 1905, holds more than seven patents. Products feature premium foams, high coil count innerspring units and Talalay latex. The Eastman House brand is known for its luxury Chittenden & Eastman line.
Millbrook Beds, based in Southampton, England, offers mattresses handcrafted with premium natural materials. The premium Velika brand is crafted with all-natural, lush
materials.
The Fieldcrest brand features mattresses that use sustainably sourced materials including wool and cotton certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard, and Talalay latex.
The Natural Dreams Pure Talalay brand consists of mattresses manufactured in the United States with 100% Talalay latex.
