The Fairfield, New Jersey-based company recently partnered with a latex producer that provides quality natural organic, ECO Institute and GOLS (Global Organic Latex Standard) certified Dunlap latex products, company officials said.

The assortment of quilt rolls, cores and toppers will allow Precision Textiles to assist customers with producing a wide array of finished natural mattress designs. Through this partnership, along with the company’s distribution system, latex components can be supplied in smaller quantities to better assist clients’ evolving needs.

“When a leading supplier of latex closed its plant in the U.S. last year, we started hearing from our customers that they were facing challenges getting product efficiently,” said Bob O’Connell, executive vice president of marketing, Precision Textiles. “After a detailed examination of this opportunity and recent market trends, adding a GOLS-certified latex product to our product portfolio was a perfect fit and would allow us to be a more valuable supplier to our customers.

“Precision Textiles is always looking for innovative ways to remain at the forefront of the industry and provide solutions that allow our customers to grow their respective businesses,” he added. “Given the limited warehouse space and restrictions on available capital, we can provide a more cost-effective supply program to that of other latex suppliers.”

A supplier of coated fabrics, nonwovens and laminations for the automotive and healthcare industries, Precision Textiles is known in the mattress industry for products that address CFR 1633 compliance requirements. These include a variety of solutions featuring flame-retardant protection associated with latex mattress designs.
