In a series of new strategic leadership appointments, Newark, New Jersey-based luxury mattress manufacturer Shifman Mattress Co. has named industry veteran Jeff Quinn vice president of sales, promoted Andi Jones to director of product development and training and added Addie Preston as director of national accounts.
According to a news release, Quinn is a seasoned entrepreneur with more than 30 years of experience in retail, manufacturing and digital sectors. His career began as a franchisee of Mattress Firm, where he built one of the company’s most successful multi-unit operations before taking on a corporate leadership role. He later co-founded Spink & Co., a farm-to-bed luxury mattress brand. In his new role, he oversees all sales operations, including developing strategic partnerships across all business channels, and cultivating Shifman’s retail network. He works closely with company president Bill Hammer and his brother, Mark Quinn, senior vice president of sales and marketing.
“Our people are the cornerstone of our company and 2025 will be a major growth year for Shifman, so we need to make sure we have the right talent in place to help us make our retail partners successful in the luxury bedding category,” Hammer said.
Andi Jones joined Shifman in 2023 with 20 years of experience in retail and manufacturing with brands such as Sleep Number, Mattress Firm, Intellibed and Purple. Promoted from territory sales manager, she will take on a dual leadership role, guiding product development and sales team training. She will oversee the creation of Shifman’s premium mattress collections and lead training initiatives for Shifman’s sales team.
“Andi is amazing. Her experience as a retailer gives her the skills she needs to help our team help our customers win. Andi’s sense of style, her love and appreciation for the details and her expertise in the luxury category will make her the best product designer in the industry,” said Mark Quinn.
Addie Preston has been hired as director of national accounts. With a background in national account management and business development in retail and financial technology industries, Preston will focus on strengthening partnerships with Shifman’s top retail customers, driving collaborative growth and aligning business strategies for long-term success. Prior to joining Shifman, she worked with Purple, Sinomax/Dormeo, Tempur-Sealy and Mattress Firm, the news release said.
Preston reports to Jeff Quinn, who said, “Addie’s extensive experience and strategic mindset make her an excellent fit for this role. She has a proven track record of building strong retail partnerships and driving meaningful growth. We are confident that her leadership and industry expertise will bring tremendous value to both our company and our retail partners as we continue to expand and innovate.”
