Boyteks, a mattress ticking manufacturer based in Kayseri, Turkey, won an award for its environmentally friendly Pineapple mattress ticking at Interzum Cologne 2025, which took place May 20-23 in Cologne, Germany.

According to company officials, its Pineapple mattress ticking is made from agricultural waste — sustainable, 100% natural fibers produced from pineapple leaves recycled when the plant is harvested. The strong, breathable structure of these biodegradable, hypoallergenic fibers helps prevent sweating and is comfortable to the skin, offering a fresh sleep experience that’s “in harmony with nature.”

An international jury of experts awarded the company an Interzum High Product Quality Award in the “Rethinking Resources” category. In its rationale for the award, the Interzum Cologne 2025 jury said, “Boyteks offers a sustainable solution for conscious sleeping.”
