Grupo Diveco, Therapedic Celebrate 30 Years With Anniversary Event in Guatemala

NEWS RELEASE

GUATEMALA CITY (September 14, 2026) — Grupo Diveco recently brought together customers and company leaders in Guatemala City to celebrate 30 years of partnership with Therapedic Worldwide, marking three decades since the Central America licensee introduced Therapedic as its first international sleep brand.

The anniversary event centered on the connection between quality sleep and peak performance, attributes that have shaped Therapedic’s brand position in the region. Aptly held at a paddle ball club, the event drew approximately 50 to 60 attendees, including representatives from some of Grupo Diveco’s largest customers. Representing Therapedic Worldwide, executive members Jayme Antinori-Rayburn and Chad Antinori were in attendance.

Since introducing Therapedic to Central America 30 years ago, Grupo Diveco has built the brand into an important part of its portfolio. The licensee has successfully leveraged Therapedic’s identity as an American mattress brand focused on wellness and performance with its own expertise in manufacturing and retail in its market. The longstanding partnership exemplifies the strength of Therapedic Worldwide’s global licensing model and the value of established regional partners in building the brand internationally.

“Introducing Therapedic to Central America 30 years ago was a defining step in the evolution of our company, and the brand has remained an important part of our business ever since,” said Georgia Dimitrakis, B2B Regional Manager of Grupo Diveco and a member of the ownership family. “Our relationship has endured because both companies share a commitment to quality, innovation and helping people understand the important role sleep plays in how they feel and perform every day. We are excited about what we can continue to build together.”

During the visit, Rayburn and Antinori toured Grupo Diveco’s manufacturing facility and visited several of the company’s Sleep Gallery retail locations where Grupo Diveco showcases its higher-end sleep offerings and showcases Therapedic within a premium retail environment. They were particularly impressed by the manufacturing operation, which employs over 1500 people and maintains exacting standards throughout its facility.

“What stood out to me was the discipline behind the operation,” Antinori said. “The factory is exceptionally well run, and you see that same attention to detail in how they manufacture, merchandise and present their products at retail. When you have a partner operating at that level, it strengthens the brand throughout the market.”

The Antinori and Dimitrakis families also spent time together, exchanging shared experiences and approaches to a multi-generational family business.

“Thirty years together is significant because relationships like this are built over time through trust, shared values and a commitment to growing the brand the right way,” Rayburn said. “Grupo Diveco has been an outstanding steward of Therapedic in Central America, and seeing firsthand the scale and quality of its operation reinforced why this partnership has been so successful for so long.”

The partnership also reflects the broader international foundation of Therapedic Worldwide, which operates through a network of more than 40 licensees and serves markets across six continents.

“There is something particularly meaningful about celebrating this milestone with another family business that has successfully carried its values and vision from one generation to the next,” said Therapedic Worldwide CEO Gerry Borreggine. “That commitment to family, continuity and building for the long term resonates strongly with us. As Therapedic writes its next, new chapter under the Antinori family, we have an even greater appreciation for partners like Grupo Diveco that understand the value of preserving what works while continuing to evolve for the next generation.”
