Lifestyle and Apparel Brands Continue to Find Their Way Into the Bedroom

This summer, Hollister and Target introduced Hollister’s first home and dorm collection, a multi-season partnership that includes apparel, bedding, and dorm products. Pottery Barn Kids and Pottery Barn Teen also launched a collaboration with Hill House Home featuring furniture, bedding, décor, pajamas, storage, and other products for nurseries, kids’ rooms, teen spaces, and dorm rooms.

The bed is one of the most visible and frequently used spaces in the home, and bedding can carry a brand’s point of view in a practical way.

A sheet set, comforter, pillow, or bedding bundle still has to do the basics. It needs to feel right, fit the bed, launder well, and make sense at its price. But it also helps shape the room. Color, print, texture, packaging, and presentation can give shoppers a quick read on what a product is meant to feel like.

The collaborations show why bedding remains an inviting category for lifestyle brands: It’s practical, visible, and closely tied to how people want a room to feel. For producers and suppliers, the interest from lifestyle brands reinforces a familiar balance: Bedding has to perform, but it also helps define how a room feels.
