CENTRAL CALIFORNIA, August 26, 2026: Mancini’s Sleepworld has acquired Christian’s Mattress Xpress and assumed ownership of all nine of the retailer’s locations throughout California’s Central Valley and Central Coast.
The acquisition brings together two established California mattress retailers and marks a significant expansion of Mancini’s Sleepworld into Central California.
With the acquisition now complete, Christian’s Mattress Xpress founder and owner Ron Gonzales and his wife, Deanne Gonzales, are retiring from the business. To celebrate their retirement and begin the transition to Mancini’s Sleepworld, an immediate Retirement Sale is now underway at all nine Christian’s Mattress Xpress locations to clear existing inventory.

While Mancini’s Sleepworld assumes ownership effective immediately, the nine locations will continue operating under the Christian’s Mattress Xpress name during the transition. The stores are expected to become Mancini’s Sleepworld locations in early 2027.
Importantly, the acquisition does not mark the end of the Gonzales family’s involvement in the business. Two of Ron and Deanne’s children, who currently help lead Christian’s Mattress Xpress, will remain with the organization and take on new roles with Mancini’s Sleepworld.

For Ron and Deanne Gonzales, the acquisition represents both the culmination of years spent building Christian’s Mattress Xpress and the beginning of a new chapter for their family.
