Corsicana Mattress Co., a major producer of promotional and moderately priced mattresses based in Corsicana, Texas, has added Chris Corbin and Dan Thigpen to its sales team.
Corbin joined as national account executive, and Thigpen is the Western region director of sales.
Previously, Corbin was a senior key account manager and territory sales manager for Tempur Sealy International Inc. He also worked at Ashley Furniture Industries Inc., managing the Northern New England territory. At Corsicana, Corbin reports to Eric Jent, vice president of sales for national accounts, e-commerce and hospitality.
Thigpen previously was executive vice president of sales and vice president of Western business development for King Koil. He also held leadership and sales roles with Southerland, Dreams Sleep Products, King Koil of Michigan/Comfort Mattress, and Sleepy’s, where he began his sales career. Thigpen reports to Clint Walling, vice president of sales.
Commenting on the appointments, Jent said: “Both bring a strong track record of success and performance within the mattress category and will be responsible for expanding market share in the Western and Eastern regions of the United States.”
