Industry veteran Steve Karns has joined mattress licensing group Eclipse International as regional vice president of sales and marketing for its Eastern region.

Karns has more than 30 years of experience in the sales and marketing of bedding brands with King Koil, Englander and Serta. Most recently, Karns served as vice president of sales for Blue Bell Mattress Co.
In his new position with Eclipse, Karns manages five sales representatives and covers a territory that includes Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
“As we continue to expand our brand and our reach along the East Coast, we wanted a strong sales leader to work with our sales team and our retailers to help them grow their businesses,” said Stuart Carlitz, chief executive officer of Eclipse International, which is part of North Brunswick, New Jersey-based Bedding Industries of America. “Steve has built long-standing relationships in the region and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position. We are excited to have Steve join our team, and we know he will be a great asset as we continue to grow in the region.”
In his new position, Karns reports to Tom Rehwinkle, vice president of sales and marketing for Eclipse.
