Southern California mattress retailer Sit ‘n Sleep has awarded promotions to three individuals at its executive offices in Gardena. Benny Garcia was named vice president of operations. Marcelo Deavila is now vice president of information technology, and Drew Miller was promoted to marketing manager.

Garcia, who joined the 39-store retail chain in 2011, previously was director of logistics. In that role, he led the introduction of new tools and procedures to improve efficiencies and reduce costs, the company said. As vice president, he oversees customer service, facilities, inventory control, logistics and purchasing.
Deavila also joined the retailer in 2011 and previously was director of information technology. He continues those responsibilities and is credited with implementing a custom point-of-sale system, developing companywide IT infrastructure and working with every department in streamlining workflow processes for efficiency.
Garcia and Deavila report to President Nelson Bercier.
Miller joins the corporate team from the retail floor, where he most recently worked as store manager for the Santa Monica location. In his new post, he works with the company’s creative and media-buying agencies and coordinates in-house promotional and marketing initiatives.
Miller reports to his father, company founder and chief executive officer, Larry Miller.
