Promotional bedding maker Corsicana Mattress Co., headquartered in Corsicana, Texas, has named Michael Thompson chief executive officer. He replaces Chris Baker, who left the company in July.
Thompson has several decades of executive leadership experience, most recently as operating partner for The Riverside Co. Prior to that, he was president and CEO of Sleep Innovations, now part of Innocor Inc. He also has held executive posts with American Capital, Flexi-Mat, Newell Rubbermaid and others.
Corsicana is part of Long Point Capital’s portfolio of companies. The private equity firm has headquarters in New York and in Royal Oak, Michigan.
