Creative Ticking, a division of Beverly Knits Inc., with headquarters in Gastonia, North Carolina, has hired Priscilla Peralta as design director and Kathleen Kelly as textile designer.
Peralta brings extensive textile design experience in the bedding sector to her new post. Most recently, she was a senior knit and jacquard designer for Global Textile Alliance. Prior to that, she was a knit designer for Culp Inc.
Peralta is responsible for leading the design department and its work, assisting the sales team in interpreting customer requests, and managing sample requests and inventory.
Kelly joins Creative from CT Nassau, where she was a knit designer and the sample department manager. Her previous experience includes a stint as project manager for North Carolina State University’s Wilson College of Textiles. While a graduate student in the College of Textiles, Kelly won the university’s Pack Plaid design contest. Her winning design now is the school’s official tartan and is registered in the Scottish Registry of Deeds, the official Scottish register of tartans.
Peralta and Kelly collaborate to create the company’s annual design portfolio, research and identify industry trends, and develop original designs based on the visions of Creative Ticking customers.
“As a team, Priscilla and Kathleen share a high level of creativity and technical knowledge that will provide Creative Ticking’s customers with innovative products,” said Ron Sytz, owner and president. “They are both talented designers with a strong ability to interpret and develop the customer’s ideas, making them invaluable to Creative Ticking and our customers.”
