Stranix Earns New Role at Flex

Valerie Stranix

Following its recent acquisition of luxury bedding brand Marshall Mattress, Toronto-based Flex Bedding Group has named Valerie Stranix general manager.

In the newly created position, Stranix is responsible for operations and sales of the Marshall brand, and she serves as an in-country resource for sister luxury brands Aireloom, E.S. Kluft and Vispring.

Stranix joined the Flex Group three years ago as sales director for the group’s three luxury brands. With more than 20 years of experience in the bedding industry, she previously held executive posts with Spring Air Canada and Natura/Sommex. In addition, she has served on the board of trustees for the International Sleep Products Association.

Stranix reports to Alain Rauh, international director of the Flex Bedding Group.

“Valerie will be instrumental in expanding the Marshall business, building on its heritage and uniqueness,” Rauh said.

Sharan Anisman and Brad Warner, whose family has owned and managed Marshall since 1965, remain with the company during the transition process. Eric Warner continues to handle marketing for the company.
