Retailer Living Spaces Donates Beds For Veterans

Volunteers with retailer Living Spaces and the nonprofit AMVETS National Service Foundation unload a truck filled with new mattresses during a 2018 mattress donation event.

Furniture retailer Living Spaces, with headquarters in La Mirada, California, is holding its third annual Buy One, Give One event in honor of Veterans Day. Certain mattress and adjustable base purchases in its Revive Sleep Centers located at its 23 retail stores, as well as select online purchases, will be matched with a mattress donation to a veterans’ organization. The event runs Nov. 4 through Nov. 24.

Living Spaces has partnered with three organizations that assist veterans in need: AMVETS National Service Foundation, based in Lanham, Maryland; Furnishing Hope, based in Newport Beach, California; and Phoenix-based Veterans Furniture Center. Each organization provides products and services to veterans, including home furnishings.

To date the annual event has donated 1,628 mattresses to veterans.

“There is no one more deserving than our veterans who have given so much for all of us and can sometimes end up in a tough situation trying to get on their feet,” said Brett Thornton, director of Revive by Living Spaces. “The BOGO event supplies these veterans with mattresses through our great partners when (customers) make a special purchase.”

The retailer’s brick-and-mortar stores are located in California, as well as Arizona, Nevada and Texas.
