Heritage Sleep Concepts Expands Factory

Heritage Sleep Concepts, a mattress manufacturer and licensee of the Eclipse International and Eastman House brands since 2015, has tripled its manufacturing space in Rome, Georgia, with a move into a new 120,000-square-foot factory.

The company said in a news release that it had outgrown its previous 40,000-square-foot factory and needed additional space to accommodate its growth with regional retail powerhouses such as Farmer’s Home Furniture.

Heritage was founded in 2015 by mattress manufacturing veteran Terry Spears and his family, the former owners of Spears Mattress Co./Alliance Sleep Concepts, also in Rome. The new plant has a production capacity of about 1,200 mattresses per day.

“Our family has strong roots in the mattress industry, and our growth over the last four years with the Eclipse and Eastman House brands has been incredible,” said Frankie Beck, managing partner of Heritage Sleep Concepts. “The move will allow us to better serve our customer base of strong bedding retailers. As we move into our centennial year, we are looking forward to continued growth.”

Stuart Carlitz, president and chief executive officer of North Brunswick, New Jersey-based Eclipse International, said: “We’ve been working with Heritage Sleep for five years, joining forces with them when the family returned to the bedding business. The company, the family and the management team are great partners to help us expand our business in the Southeast.”
