Tom Fiorello Dan Thigpen Davis Whitworth
Corsicana Mattress Co. has promoted three veteran sales executives and honored its chief information officer, who has earned a local business award.
Tom Fiorello, Dan Thigpen and Davis Whitworth were named senior sales directors. Each continues to report to Eric Jent, Corsicana executive vice president of sales.
Fiorello is responsible for Eastern U.S. region sales, a territory that encompasses 24 U.S. states. He joined the Dallas-based company in 2019.
Thigpen, with the company since 2018, now is senior sales director of the south central and Western United States, which covers 26 states.
Whitworth, who rejoined Corsicana in 2018, is senior sales director for business development and manages Corsicana’s relationships with retail buying groups, including Nationwide Marketing Group. He also develops strategic partnerships with top 100 retailers and national accounts.
“As we continue to post significant sales growth across the U.S., it’s key that we have senior management in place to support it,” Jent said. “Dan, Davis and Tom have demonstrated outstanding leadership skills and have done a tremendous job building cross-functional communication and teamwork within the Corsicana organization. I am confident this team will deliver strong growth within their regions and expand our brand’s reach further than before.”
Corsicana CIO Rusty Kennington was named Dallas CIO of the Year by the Dallas CIO Leadership Association. He was one of 200 nominees for the award, which recognizes those who have demonstrated excellence in technology leadership and in business value creation, as well as their community involvement.
“We’re incredibly proud of Rusty and all he has accomplished,” said Michael Thompson, Corsicana chief executive officer. “In an industry that is constantly evolving, the dedication he has shown to his work and immense knowledge has proven him to be an asset to the company. It’s an honor work alongside him and the information technology team.”
