Verlo’s Ad Campaign Honored

A self-deprecating ad campaign for Milwaukee-based factory-direct chain Verlo Mattress has netted it two awards for its “Bad at Marketing, Great at Mattresses” commercials. The commercials featuring Verlo Mattress mascot “Mattie” won a Gold ADDY in the American Advertising Federation’s competition in Madison, Wisconsin, and the campaign also was a winner in the 56th annual American Graphic Design Awards. They are the work of Milwaukee-based SRH Marketing.

The local American Advertising Awards competition (ADDY) received more than 400 entries. Gold ADDY winners are automatically forwarded to the district competition.

The American Graphic Design Awards, sponsored by Graphic Design USA, fielded a record 12,000 entries.
