Mattress manufacturer and licensing group King Koil, headquartered in Avondale, Arizona, has hired veteran sales executives Bill Visser and Douglass Kinde and reorganized several sales territories.
Visser was named vice president of sales for the Southwest, overseeing a territory that covers Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada and Utah. King Koil’s previous territory manager for the Southwest, Vice President Marty Melcher, now oversees the Pacific Northwest.
Most recently, Visser was vice president of sales for E.S. Kluft & Co. Prior to that, he was regional vice president for Boyd Sleep. He also spent close to 20 years with Simmons, where he was vice president of sales, and prior to that spent a decade in sales with retailer RC Willey Home Furnishings.
Kinde was named Midwest regional sales manager, covering Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota and Nebraska. Previously, the Central United States was managed by Vice President Michael Vidoli, who now covers Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas.
Kinde has close to four decades in home furnishings sales and joined King Koil from E.S. Kluft, where he was vice president of national accounts.
Prior to that, he was president and founder of Sleep One Inc. and vice president of sales for La-Z-Boy Residential. He began his career with Simmons where he spent 18 years and rose to vice president of sales.
“As we continue to expand our reach with additional retailers, we wanted to strengthen our senior sales leadership to address our partners’ needs across the country,” said David Binke, King Koil chief executive officer. “Both Bill and Doug have extraordinary relationships and knowledge throughout the sleep retail community, and having them on our team is just one more ace in the hole as we continue to expand our network of retail partners. Our new sales leadership structure brings nearly a century of management and relationships that will benefit retailers and the broader King Koil family.”
