SSB Adds Supply Chain and Operations Roles

At Atlanta-based Serta Simmons Bedding LLC, Heather Decker has been named senior vice president of central operations, a new role for the mattress major. She continues as chief of staff for SSB’s direct-to-consumer business and as leader of a number of related teams. With her new post, she has responsibility for the oversight of 27 manufacturing plants in the United States and Canada.

Rory O’Kane joined SSB as vice president of operations for the Southeast. He is responsible for driving operational excellence, safety, quality, service, and cost across eight manufacturing facilities. He oversees continuous improvement, lean manufacturing initiatives, and talent development for the region.

Most recently, O’Kane was senior vice president of operations at Cornerstone Building Brands and has more than 30 years of domestic and international supply chain experience at top-tier companies.

“The world continues to rapidly change and it’s critical we drive operational excellence in everything we do, which starts with great leadership and role models,” said Shelley Huff, chief executive officer of SSB and Tuft and Needle. “I’m confident Heather and Rory’s expertise and industry knowledge will help us deliver even better on our mission to provide innovative sleep solutions to our consumers, all while creating a great workplace where our employees can grow their careers.”
