“Due to significant company growth and product expansion, it was the right time to add to our product leadership team,” said Kyle Robertson, vice president of product. “Jake and Makayla have proven their ability to translate market trends and consumer insights into product sales, and we’re excited to move them into these newly created positions.”

Ozmun is experienced in international business operations and building relationships with production facilities to satisfy consumer demands. His new position includes leading the product development department in production and sourcing, product quality and product lifecycle execution. He also assists with supplier code of conduct and sustainability initiatives. Ozmun has worked at Malouf for five years and played a lead role in its entrance into the furniture category. Prior to Malouf, Ozmun worked in the utilities service sector.

Summers joined Malouf three years ago and has largely influenced the company’s renewed focus on efficiency, as well as their cost-saving initiatives with packaging and product enhancements. Summers brings a creative mindset and a practical eye to Malouf’s product assortment. She and her team work in tandem with the company’s sales and marketing teams to gather market information that guides product innovation and identifies gaps in the marketplace. Before joining Malouf, Summers fulfilled multiple product and graphic design roles in the outdoor apparel and wellness industries.

The Malouf product development team includes more than 20 team members specializing in development and sourcing, merchandising, and design and communication. “Product development and innovation have always been core pillars of our business,” said Eric Holmstead, president. “Jake and Makayla have contributed to Malouf’s aggressive growth strategy over the years, and they continue to push our capabilities in an ever-changing industry.”
