Precision Textiles, a nonwovens and laminate provider headquartered in Fairfield, New Jersey, has chosen bedding industry veteran Bill Learn to be director of quality control.
Learn, former director of quality control at Global Textile Alliance and a former new product development manager at Tempur Sealy Inc., will lead quality processes across all Precision Textiles product lines and facilities. Collaborating with suppliers to uphold standards for purchased components and raw materials, he will ensure internal and external requirements are met and improve manufacturing operations to enhance quality, efficiency and reduce costs. He reports to Keith Martin, vice president of Precision Textiles.
“We are thrilled to welcome Bill to our leadership team,” Martin said. “His extensive experience in the bedding industry and proven track record in quality control will be instrumental in advancing our quality initiatives and optimizing our processes. We look forward to seeing the positive impact he will make for us and our customers as we continue to uphold the highest standards in the industry.”
As a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Learn will use Six Sigma tools to help solve problems and make improvements when needed. Learn will also work with manufacturing, sales and product development to maintain internal product specifications across the company’s manufacturing facilities, ensuring customers receive the same high-quality product regardless of where it is produced.
“I’m very excited to be at Precision Textiles,” Learn said. “I’m looking forward to working with our suppliers to better define raw materials requirements and with our product development and manufacturing teams to advance and develop new, sustainable methods of practice and achieve overall business goals.”
