McRoskey Mattress Co., a high-end manufacturer and retailer of handmade beds based in San Francisco, has introduced a super-sized mattress set it calls the 7’X7′ San Francisco King. Also new: an adjustable base designed to be paired with its McRoskey Classic innerspring mattress collection.
The new 7-foot square mattress is the “perfect size” for people who want more freedom of movement while sleeping, enjoy sharing the bed with their pets or just want more room to cuddle with the kids, the company said.
“Because we’ve received ongoing requests for custom, oversized mattresses from customers—especially from professional athletes who want a bigger sleeping surface—we have introduced this new, larger standard size,” said President Robin McRoskey Azevedo. “Our new 7’X7′ San Francisco King is an ideal mattress for an open loft area, a spacious penthouse or a large master bedroom suite. And as a San Francisco-based manufacturer, we love the fact that the new size connects with San Francisco’s 7-by-7 square-mile footprint.”
The bed is built to order at the McRoskey factory. It comes with linens and mattress protector and is available in McRoskey’s byDesign and Classic models. The bed set retails for $11,777 in the byDesign line and $7,777 in the Classic line. Box spring heights can be customized.
McRoskey’s new adjustable bed sets are available in California king, king, queen, queen with split base, double, twin tall and twin sizes.
“Our customers have the option to choose any of the three McRoskey Classic mattress comforts—extra firm, firm or gentle—on a McRoskey adjustable bed,” Azevedo said. “The bases come with a cordless remote control to lift or lower the head and foot of the bed, independently, and activate the optional dual massage. The wall-hugging feature always keeps you close to your bedside night stand.”
