Although Moeller, 85, is still actively involved in the business, he was unable to attend the ceremony. His son, Lewie Moeller, president of the Spencerville, Ohio-based company, accepted the honor on his behalf. The Albrecht Bäumer Co. was singled out for its role in advancing the flexible polyurethane foam industry, including the development of the loop-slitting machine and other innovative foam-cutting technologies. Accepting the honor was Philipp Schuster, general manager of Bäumer of America. Schuster is the son of the late Matthias Schuster, former chief executive officer of the Freudenberg, Germany-based company, and the great-grandson of company founder Albrecht Bäumer.
