Tom Rehwinkel
Specialty mattress manufacturer Dormeo N.A., which has U.S. headquarters in Plano, Texas, has hired Thomas Rehwinkel as senior vice president of sales. He reports to Jon Stowe, Dormeo chief executive officer.
Rehwinkel has four decades of industry experience. Most recently he worked as national sales manager at Carolina Mattress Guild. Prior to that, he spent five years as regional vice president of sales with Tempur-Pedic. Previously, Rehwinkel was eastern-region president for the former Spring Air Co. and executive vice president with retailer Sleepy’s. He got his start in the bedding industry in 1973 at Simmons, where he rose through the ranks from key account manager to vice president and general manager.
“Tom is an outstanding leader in our industry with a history of developing, motivating and building strong, successful sales teams,” Stowe said. “I brought Rehwinkel on because of his passion for team- and relationship-building. His superior understanding of mattress retail, brand training and sales training speaks volumes to the position and support he will play in the company.
