Alfa Klebstoffe owners show off sustainability award from Zürcher Kantonalbank

ALFA Klebstoffe AG/Simalfa owners Thomas Simmler and Maya Bänninger-Simmler proudly accept the sustainability prize for small- and medium-sized Swiss companies from Zürcher Kantonalbank.

Rafz, Switzerland-based Alfa Klebstoffe AG, parent of industry supplier Simalfa, announced it received the SME (small- and medium-sized enterprises) Sustainability Prize from Zurich-based Zürcher Kantonalbank. The annual award honors Swiss companies with stellar sustainable business practices.

“The sustainability award proves our strategy (of focusing) on environmentally friendly products and making the world a little better for it,” said Thomas Simmler, Alfa chief executive officer. “Ever since the company was founded over 40 years ago, we have relied exclusively on environmentally friendly, solvent-free adhesives and have developed them continuously. Responsibility for our environment is at the center of our daily work and is deeply rooted in the culture of the company.”

“The Simalfa series of adhesives significantly contribute to the substitution of tens of thousands of tons of solvents, worldwide, every year,” Simmler added. “We thank all our customers and partners for the trust and confidence placed in us.”
