Owen Shoemaker is promoted to new president of mattress licensing group King Koil Licensing Co.
Mattress licensing group King Koil Licensing Co., headquartered in Willowbrook, Illinois, has promoted Owen Shoemaker to new King Koil president.
Shoemaker had been serving as executive vice president and chief operating officer since just after the company was acquired by the Malaysia-based Kaiserkorp Corp. in February 2015. He retains the title of chief operating officer and reports to company chairman Jin Hoe Yeoh.
“The 2016 year presents us with many challenges and opportunities,” Yeoh said. “We need to work strategically and aggressively to achieve the results we want, and Owen has the knowledge and experience to lead us in that process. I’m very pleased to announce Owen’s appointment, and we all look forward to his leadership skills and valuable guidance in the new year.”
Shoemaker began working for King Koil in 2009 as vice president of product development. He is a mattress industry veteran with retail management, operations, sales, product development and branding experience.
