Therapedic adds upholstery licensee

Princeton, N.J.–based mattress licensing group Therapedic International has entered into an agreement with Edgecombe Furniture to produce sofas, love seats, chairs, sleep sofas and other upholstery goods under the Therapedic label.

Edgecombe is sister company of Therapedic’s mid–Atlantic licensee, Sleep Worthy.

The new upholstery line will incorporate Therapedic MemoryTouch visco–elastic foams and Therapedic PureTouch latex inserts.

All upholstery will be manufactured in the United States and be available for shipment throughout North America, said Gerry Borreggine, Therapedic president and chief executive officer.

“This is a strong program and a natural extension to our mattress line,” he said. “Plus, we’ve built a quick–ship model that helps retailers make quick sales and turn goods fast.”

“We are excited about the growth potential with Therapedic and look forward to growing stronger as a part of the Therapedic team,” said Bob Phillips, vice president of Edgecombe, which has headquarters in Pinetops, N.C.

Edgecombe and Sleep Worthy are both divisions of Cotton Belt Inc.
