Five mattress industry suppliers based in the Netherlands have formed the Sustainable Sleep Alliance with the common goal of promoting the manufacture of “better beds for a better future.” Alliance members include foamer Draka Interfoam in Hillegom, natural fiber supplier Enkev in Volendam, knit producer Innofa in Tilburg, Radium Foam in Maastricht and adhesives maker SABA in Dinxperlo. The companies say they strive to develop, design and produce products and operate production facilities that are in line with principles of corporate social responsibility and sustainability. “Each company is committed to offering sustainable products to mattress producers around the world,” said Shannon van Halteren, SABA marketing and communications manager.
