Laura Ashley Inc., based in Fort Mill, S.C., has named Penne Cairoli president. In her new role at the company, Cairoli is responsible for overseeing licensing and e-commerce operations for North America and South America. Cairoli replaces Ng Kwan Cheong, who was named chief executive officer of Laura Ashley Holdings PLC, headquartered in London. Cairoli joined Laura Ashley in 1987 and most recently served as a vice president of licensing. The Laura Ashley brand encompasses a range of women’s wear, children’s wear and home furnishings. Its U.S. licensee for mattresses and sleep accessories is Willowbrook, Ill.-based Comfort Solutions.
