Seattle-based retailer Sleep Country USA announced that its seventh annual Pajama Bowl drew 1,000 pajama-clad participants and brought in $140,000 in donations for area foster children. Monies raised help pay for the special wishes of foster children, such as music and dance lessons, participation in team sports and trips to summer camp. The 80-store chain with sleep shops in the Pacific Northwest and its parent company Sleep Train Inc. in Sacramento, Calif., sponsor numerous events and fundraisers each year to benefit foster children.
