Boston-based mattress licensing group Spring Air International is rolling out the Back Supporter Conforma Gel collection at the Las Vegas Market July 30-Aug. 3. The company calls it “the industry’s first ultra-premium gel collection.”
“Retailers don’t have to tell or sell the same gel story that everyone else is,” said Rick Robinson, Spring Air president.
The Back Supporter 700 Series Conforma is an ultra-premium, eight-model collection that has gel foam with a patented zoning pattern that’s used in hospitals and extended-care facilities across the United States for its proven pressure-relief benefits. The Conforma Gel layer is up to 3 inches thick. The green, marbleized gel memory foam has proprietary Surface Modified Technology, is open cell for better air flow and has bio-based content.
Conforma Gel is offered in two mattress core designs—the patented Back Supporter five-zone, encased-coil construction with suggested retail prices in queen size from $799 to $1,299, and a high-density, poly-foam core design with prices from $1,499 to $2,499. Both designs use combinations of premium foams beneath the gel foam layer.
The new line is backed by themed point-of-sale materials that include demonstration tools and top-of-bed items. Spring Air also has developed ideas for in-store and online promotional events and activities to draw consumers in.
