Mattress maker Jamison Bedding, with headquarters in Brentwood, Tenn., has appointed Rick MacLean chief operating officer, in addition to continuing in his current role as chief financial officer.
The appointment expands MacLean’s responsibilities to include overall strategic planning and development of the company, with emphasis on Jamison’s marketing, sales and manufacturing functions. In his new post, McLean will continue to report to Jamison President Frank Gorrell.
“Rick’s expansive knowledge and experience have been instrumental over the past few years in moving forward the Jamison brand and business,” Gorrell said. “His principle-based management skills will become even more important to our success as we continue to evolve the organization and implement our strategic objectives.”
MacLean joined Jamison in 2008 as CFO. Previously, he worked in finance and operations at diverse companies, including McKesson Corp., a provider of health care information technology, and luxury travel goods producer Hartmann.
Jamison manufactures bedding for more than 400 southeastern U.S. retailers, as well as major hotels and resorts worldwide.
