Leggett & Platt ups Walsh to staff VP of creative services

Industry supplier Leggett & Platt has promoted John Walsh to staff vice president of creative services. He joined the Carthage, Mo.-based company in 2008 as director of creative services. Walsh continues to report to Mark Quinn, segment vice president of marketing.

While heading L&P’s creative services department, Walsh and his teams have helped generate increased business volume and won numerous advertising and marketing awards. Walsh was co-producer of L&P’s popular “Get Hybrid” video.

“John has been key in driving all our initiatives in the bedding and furniture components industries,” Quinn said. “He is a great strategic thinker and a valuable asset to Leggett & Platt, always showing a great ability to intersect strong business principles with a breakthrough creative approach.”

Walsh has held management positions at Sam’s Club and business-to-business marketing agencies in St. Louis and Cincinnati.
